      Maverick MK Pyxis FAQ’s

Quickly find answers to common questions about setup, operation, and features of the Maverick MK Pyxis
What makes the Maverick MK Pyxis a unique lighting fixture?

The Maverick MK Pyxis stands out because it combines two lights in one compact unit. It features a central, punchy beam for sharp aerial effects, surrounded by a separate ring of LEDs that creates a wide color wash. Its ability to spin endlessly in any direction (continuous 360° pan and tilt) allows for unique, dynamic effects that are not possible with standard moving lights.

How does the Maverick MK Pyxis create different visual effects?

It creates visuals using its dual light sources and zoom capability. The outer ring of nine LEDs can be controlled individually for pixel-mapping effects or used together, zooming from a narrow beam to a wide wash to bathe a stage in color. The powerful center LED provides a dedicated, tight beam. The fixture also has built-in colors and virtual patterns (gobos) for creating impressive looks with minimal effort.

Is the Maverick MK Pyxis suitable for quiet environments?

Yes, it is designed for quiet operation, making it a great choice for a wide range of situations where noise is a concern, such as theaters, television studios, and houses of worship. You can create stunning visuals without adding distracting operational noise to your event.
