CHAUVET Professional Looking Forward To PLASA
Posted on September 7, 2018LONDON – CHAUVET Professional’s Maverick, STRIKE, Ovation and COLORado fixtures have been making their mark on the theatrical and touring scene this summer, being specified for shows on Broadway and concerts by bands like Counting Crows and Nine Inch Nails. Now as fall approaches, the company will be showcasing some of the hottest new products from these series at PLASA.
Among the highlights at the CHAUVET Professional stand (J30) at London Olympia National Hall is the Maverick Storm 1 Wash. The newest addition to the award-winning Maverick line of moving fixtures, the high-output (over 6000 lumens) Storm 1 Wash has an IP65 rating, making it well suited for outdoor festival use.
Another fixture ideal for outdoor use is the STRIKE P38, a compact IP65-rated blinder that delivers a punchy output from its 90W warm white LED source. An emulated “amber shift” warms the color temperature of the light as it dims to mimic incandescent lights. The unit’s IP-rated fan keeps it cool enough for use as a wash.
The company will also be showcasing the COLORado Solo Batten, a powerful one-of-a-kind batten that projects a single homogenized wash with smooth color mixing, giving it the appearance of a bright single bar of light without round “eyes” or pixels.
On the theatrical and broadcast lighting front, CHAUVET Professional will be highlighting the Ovation F-915VW, a high-power variable white Fresnel-style fixture that utilizes the company’s unique 6-color LED system. This fixture projects a bright, beautifully soft field of light in nearly any temperature of white with high CRI and CQS, making it ideal for theaters and TV studios.
“We are coming off a very upbeat summer that has seen our fixtures specified by quite a few prominent designers for major applications,” said Albert Chauvet, CEO of Chauvet. “Our PLASA stand, with its array of innovative new products, is a great way to put an exclamation point on this exciting season.”
